EXAMINATION SCHEDULE
Phase One (DVD #1 - 10)
Phase one of the program serves as a comprehensive introduction to the skills required and how chiropractic services can be positioned within the field. For example, our DOT Drug Testing and Alcohol Screening Certification, DOT Physical exam session will enable you to immediately add new services to your practice.
During phase one's ten 12-hour DVDs, an experience team of instructors will introduce you to the concepts and practical considerations in becoming a chiropractic occupational health consultant. You will learn how to consult with business and industry clients regarding occupational safety, evaluation and treatment of injured workers, developing preventive interventions and providing employee education. DVD's are currently available.

Phase Two (DVD #11-20*) includes one live session
Phase two consists of ten 12-hour DVD sessions and one live field project reporting session totaling up to 120 CE hours. You will learn how to manage stress in the workplace, accident and injury prevention strategies and how to treat condition specific injuries such as CTD, upper extremity and soft tissues syndromes. Learn important new ways to rehabilitate injured workers so they can return to work safely. Learn an understand progressive new strategies for workplace wellness and how to identify and respond to employers' needs. At the required live session you will present your field study preliminary report.

Phase Three (DVD #21-23) includes one live session
Phase three consists of two 12-hour DVDs and the live session where you present your field study final report. The most exciting part of phase three is your work with clients as a consultant. During this time you will complete and document a consulting project with one or more businesses, or develop an independent, original research project suitable for publication. You will work with a mentor, who you will meet during the live session of phase two, to assist you in accomplishing this phase of the program. You must successfully complete phase one and at least 60 hours of phase two to start phase three.

Please note: 12 hours are awarded when you successfully pass the exam (75% or better) that accompanies each DVD. Return your exams to Northwestern via fax or mail to be graded. DOT certification also requires a demonstration of proficiency. You must complete 90 percent of Phase one and two, and all of phase three to be eligible to apply to sit for the ACBOH diplomate board exam.

Live Sessions
Phase 2: Field Study Preliminary Reports for DACBOH Candidates
Drs. David Gilkey and Joseph Sweere
You must have an established relationship with a company in your area, along with clear goals and milestones established for your report. It is recommended that at minimum you complete the phase one DVD sessions before attending this class, however, under certain circumstances fewer sessions may be acceptable.

Phase 3: Field Study Final Reports for DACBOH Candidates

You will need to have collected data for your field study report for a minimum of 12 moths time in order to qualify for the final report sessions.
