The
ACACOH is membership
supported. Established in 1991, in more recent years the ACACOH
has been given much national recognition as a professional body promoting Chiropractic
while providing a vital contribution to safety and health in workplaces.
The ACACOH has significant interest in political security for the profession.
Through its publications,
mission,
statements of position,
media relations and
educational opportunities,
the ACACOH provides important information on issues relative to the specialty
of Chiropractic Occupational Health. DCs can also be aware of vendors and organizations
with chiropractic products
and/or services that stand to enhance
an industrial practice.
OSHA concludes that every year in the U.S., 1.8 million workers encounter work-related
musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). MSDs and injuries are what Doctors of Chiropractic
diagnose and treat every day. The comprehensive scientific knowledge and education
of the anatomy and biomechanics of the human body sets Chiropractors apart from
all other professionals as the best choice for addressing workplace injury prevention
as well as accurate diagnosis and treatment of injured employees. |
