ENDORSEMENT POLICY
In the pursuance of fulfilling the mission of the American Chiropractic Association's Council on Occupational Health (ACACOH), the Council presents a program for Products & Services Endorsement. The ACACOH will work directly with the American Chiropractic Assocation regarding all potential endorsements of any product or service. The ACA is the ultimate endorsing body. The ACACOH is a nonprofit entity, founded in 1991 with the mission of fostering public health through education, ergonomics, and optimal clinical management, and of advancing the chiropractic profession in industry. The Executive Committee of the ACACOH considers proposals for endorsement and/or recommendation of products and/or services which may be of potential benefit to its membership and/or to the general public. All proposals must be submitted in writing (see guidelines and application). Submitted proposals will be subject to the scrutiny of the Executive Committee and/or a panel of experts designated by the Committee for evaluation and consideration of the following:
1. Potential benefit to ACACOH membership
2. Correct ergonomic design and/or function for use of the product by the general public
3. Specific application of product and/or service to occupational health
Following evaluation, the applicant will be notified of the decision regarding endorsement and/or recommendation of the product and/or services. If there is an endorsement, the applicant/company will receive:
· The distinctive ACACOH seal with mention of endorsement saying product and/or service meets the highest standard set by the Council;
· The privilege and right to use the endorsement logo (set forth by a written agreement) on the product itself, and in marketing materials and campaigns for the period of one year;
· The right to print the findings of the Council and/or expert panel of experts in its marketing materials;
· A Media Release written by the ACACOH on ACACOH stationery stating the findings and endorsement and/or recommendation.
In the event an endorsement is not given by the ACACOH, a written evaluation and explanation will be provided along with recommendations for the product and services. Please submit your product and/or service, along with the application and fee, and minimally 5 samples of the product for review. Bearing the prestigious endorsement of the ACACOH significantly enhances the value of your product or service to your potential and existing customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF APPLICANT
The applicant is responsible for the following aspects of seeking an endorsement:
